Building Process
Step 01
Initial Contact
After you have been in touch with HASCON, a questionnaire will be forwarded for you to complete. This is important so we can get a better understanding of things like the size, type & style of new home or addition/remodel project, the budget, the location, if you have plans available and the timeline you wish to have the project completed in.
Step 02
Consultation
Once we have received your completed questionnaire, the team will review your project and shortly after a consultation is booked to discuss your project. We will walk you through the scope of works, budget and deliverables for the job. This is a great time for questions on different aspects of your new home or renovation as the consultation will be used to discover and learn of all the elements to be scoped in the HASCON Comprehensive Quote.
Step 03
HASCON Quote
As you can understand, quoting a project is comprehensive and takes many days to complete, including compiling trade-contractor quotes, costing materials and options you may have requested and delivering this document, which outlines all facets of the design/build. This process incurs a fee commensurate with the amount of work required to prepare this document.
Whilst many builders do not charge for this service, we believe that to ensure that you know exactly what is being quoted for and to avoid any miscommunication on the deliverables, we feel that the fee is a necessary part of the process to ensure that we cover everything in the detail it requires. Our quotes are in line with the high attention to detail we give your project during the construction phase.
If the project proceeds, we will take the amount paid towards the preparation of the HASCON Comprehensive Quote document from the first invoice. In summary, if the project proceeds, the amount is refunded from your construction invoice.
Step 04
Building Contract
Upon acceptance of the HASCON’s Quote we will work with you to create a build timeline and will begin scheduling all aspects of the project.
A building contract will be prepared and upon being signed by all parties, we will issue a deposit invoice and start construction after the approval of appropriate building plans and other regulatory bodies have issued approvals.
Step 05
Construction
Upon commencement of the building construction process, we will keep you updated and manage the trades on site and the supply of materials. We go the extra mile and treat our clients with respect and your home like our own. We strive for the very best result and motivate those around us to give it their best. We want to stand back and be proud to say that we would live in that home.
We make it seem easy — by applying our experience, nous, expertise, and empathy, we relieve the stress from our clients and make it an enjoyable journey — after all, you don't build a custom home or renovate/remodel every day!
Once the building has been completed (and throughout the construction phase), the team will ensure the site is left clean and tidy, with all excess rubbish and materials removed.
Step 06
Handover
Upon the completion of construction and cleaning, we will meet you at your home and walk-though in details including going through the operation manual. We will answer any questions you may have and after checking all aspects of construction, the home will be handed over to you.
Step 07
Post Completion
Our commitment to you doesn’t finish when we hand over the keys. We will attend to ensure there are no maintenance issues you have experienced and perform a check of the home to ensure there has been no damage caused by the house settling.
We perform this check after 90 days and again at 12 months after completion because we know that a house needs to be monitored through all four seasons. Any concerns or queries you may have can be voiced at this time (or any other time!) and we will ensure that everything is performing as it should.
